SEWRI FORT
Sewri Fort lies amidst the busling city of city on its eastren edge. The Fort shapely by the British in 1680 was meant to be a check post,was later converted into prison and afterward used for storage. The fort held off the European attack in 1772 and after India's independence it was taken over by the city Porttrust.
